SunCap developed General Electric's Center for Additive Technology Advancement on a 34-acre site in the Chapman Westport business park, located 3 miles from Pittsburgh International Airport.
This GE facility focuses on improving capabilities and usage of additive manufacturing across GE, while advancing materials sciences and inspection technologies. 101,000 square feet of the building is dedicated to additive printing space, 10,000 square feet to clean lab space and 15,000 square feet to office space. The site can accommodate up to 90,000 square feet of future expansion space. The venture represents a planned investment of more than $30 million over three years and is expected to bring more than 50 high-tech engineering jobs to the region.
